To mark the changing seasons the team at the Doolin Cave Café will be sharing some of their favourite recipes with our fans.  Starting with Uncle Dave’s secret brown bread recipe, this was passed onto head chef Lorna by her Uncle in 1993.

Give the Gift of Adventure this Christmas

Donning a hard hat you will be brought over 200feet under the magical Burren landscape through the rough hewn route of the early explorers who first discovered the cave in 1952. You willl be brought back over 350 million years to learn how the Burren landscape was formed and see what our world looked like back then. The star of the show is the Great Stlactite, it is Europes largest stalactite at an incredible 7.3metres long and weighing an estimated 10 tonnes. After the cave tour take your adventure above ground on a charming farmland nature trail. Meet our rare and friendly farm animals and learn about the rare indigenous flora. Minnie and Vinnie, our pygmy goats, will really melt your heart and brighten your day. The nature trail is free to all cave visitors.

The First Doolin Fair

Taking a step back in time at the first Doolin Fair

The first Doolin Fair which took place on the grounds of Doolin Cave on Saturday June 20th was a great success. Despite a shaky start to the weather it was all systems go at Doolin Cave and thankfully rain gave way to dry weather and sunny spells for the afternoon. The grounds of Doolin Cave were a hive of activity with demonstrations and displays in all corners of the Farmland Nature Trail. The community of Doolin came together to give visitors a rare opportunity to experience a truly traditional sense of Doolin.

Doolin Heritage Weekend

Doolin Heritage Weekend June 20th - 21st 2015

The 4th Annual Doolin Heritage Weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday the 20th- 21t June 2015. The Doolin Heritage Weekend will be a celebration of the archaeology, historical traditions and herutage of the area. On Saturday June 20th the first Doolin Fair will be held at Doolin Cave and on Suday June 21st Eddie Stack will launch his new publication the Doolin Book at Hotel Doolin accompaned by a series of themed talks. Events will take place from 11.30am-4.30pm both days.Advance booking is not required. Ticket prices are as follows: weekend ticket; €15pp, Saturday Only Ticket; €10pp and Sunday only ticket:;€8pp. Kids go free for the weekend!
